Serving Our Community:

The Blue Alder Donates Outdoor Putting Green to Real Life Church

At The Blue Alder, a family-owned landscaping and excavation company in Maple Valley, WA, we believe our work is about more than just projects — it’s about creating spaces that bring people together.

Recently, our team designed, installed, and donated a new putting green and outdoor gathering area for Real Life Church in Covington, WA.

A Vision for Connection

When Real Life Church expressed their desire for an outdoor area where people could connect, relax, and play, we knew we wanted to help. A custom putting green was the perfect fit — encouraging fellowship, fun, and engagement across all ages.

The Design & Installation

Our Maple Valley landscaping team created a plan that blended seamlessly with the church’s property. Key features include:

  • Custom Putting Green – Professional turf, built for durability and low maintenance.
  • Gathering Areas – Seating and open spaces for fellowship, small groups, and family activities.
  • Lasting Materials – Designed to serve the church community for years.

Giving Back to the Community

This project was more than just another installation — it was a donation from The Blue Alder to the community. We’re honored to contribute to a place that impacts so many lives in both our community and beyond.

What People Are Saying

Andy and his team did a fantastic job
Andy and his team did a fantastic job. They truly transformed our front and backyard. Our property is very wet, and we needed a lot of drainage work done to redirect the water away from our house. Andy ordered several truck loads of gravel and rocks to build our retaining walls and install an intensive drainage system. We couldn't be any happier with his work.

Andy and team completely transformed our backyard
Andy and team completely transformed our backyard, including a new retaining wall, fence, leveling, patio, dog turf, a beautiful river bed garden, stairs, garden edging, lighting, and a new composite deck. There were no corners cut, the work is high quality and beautiful. We now have a gorgeous useable space where there was an overgrown, sinking, eyesore. Andy is extremely responsive with communication, dependable, and respectful. I cannot recommend this business enough.

We will definitely be working with them again on future projects
We worked with Andy Duckworth and Blue Alder Excavation Services to help us clean up fallen trees from a windstorm. He also helped us clean up our logging roads, removed stumps, graded, and spread gravel. He was super easy to work with. Very polite professional, and yet very personal. We will definitely be working with them again on future projects. Looking forward to visiting their farm this spring.

Shoutout The Blue Alder
Shoutout The Blue Alder for the awesome work on our front yard. They were a spur of the moment choice after seeing their sign in a neighbors front yard. Andy and his team completed a front yard remodel to really improve our curb appeal. Stump grind, plant removal, leveling, brick work, drainage, and hydro seeding. Two weeks in and the front yard is looking amazing with grass coming in fast!! The best part of hiring The Blue Alder was the communication which is very important when working on a project like this, nothing was missed. 10/10 would recommend.
